How much do sperm donors get paid?
As a sperm donor at Berliner Samenbank, you receive a total of €80 compensation for every regular donation, paid in two instalments. Here you can find out how the compensation works and which requirements you need to meet to donate sperm.
€80 compensation per donation
If you are accepted into the donor programme after your sample donation and the medical tests, you receive a total of €80 compensation for every regular sperm donation.
Compensation, not “payment”
People searching for “earning money with sperm donation” usually mean financial compensation for their time and effort. At Berliner Samenbank, this is a compensation for your expenses. It is paid for regular donation appointments once you have been accepted into the programme as a donor.
How often can I donate sperm?
As a rule, there is about one donation appointment per week. Your last ejaculation should be three to five days before each donation. Donating usually continues for one to two years.
Berliner Samenbank generally collects samples from a donor until a total of around 100 sperm samples are available. Depending on the quality on the day, several samples can be obtained from one donation. 100 samples therefore do not mean 100 separate donation appointments.
Who can become a sperm donor?
In principle, healthy men between 20 and 40 who live in or around Berlin can apply. In the first step, Berliner Samenbank checks your details and your sperm quality. If you are generally suitable, further tests for infectious diseases follow, and then the contract is signed.
